What to Expect During Treatment Visits

Spravato administration

You’ll self-administer the nasal spray under our supervision. During and shortly after administration, you may experience:

  • Dissociation (feeling detached or dreamlike)
  • Dizziness or sedation
  • Changes in perception
  • Increased blood pressure (temporary)

2-hour monitoring period

You’ll rest comfortably in our office while our team monitors:

  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • Oxygen levels
  • Any side effects like dizziness, sedation, or dissociation (feeling disconnected or strange)

Discharge

After 2 hours, if you’re stable, you’ll be cleared to leave

You cannot drive yourself home after treatment. You'll need to arrange for someone to pick you up.

Spravato Treatment Schedule

Weeks 1-4: Twice per week
After the first month: Once per week or once every week, depending on your response

Your provider will work with you to determine the optimal treatment schedule based on your individual needs.
